We are planning on doing a zipline tour and wanted to purchase a GoPro camera to videotape it. What does everyone recommend?

 

Also, underwater cameras. There's so many to choose from and I'm lost as to the best one to get for our southern Caribbean cruise.

If you get the Go Pro you can use it underwater as well. Ours came in the waterproof case. It's the Hero 4 Silver. Worked great!

How do you plan to wear the camera?

don't get it, at the last minute of your decision, get it and learn it, and you'll have priceless momonts. a gimbal to stop your shakiness and erratic shots

What about for snuba? What would be the best option there? Holding it in hand on a monopod? Wearing in on a chest harness? Wearing it on the head strap (might hit goggles?)?

For underwater I like hand holding - with a wrist strap. It gave me plenty of flexibility to film myself as well as others.

 

If you can practice, even on land, do so. Try different things - I like to hold it upside down and graze the sea floor (or grass if you're practicing) - get that flying zoom vibe going.

 

I have a Hero 3 Black - which is 2 models removed from the current generation so am little help as to what to advise to get - just don't get the entry level one.
