Cornishpastyman1 Posted April 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2015 What is there to do on our own in Cannes? What are the must sees/do? Thanks! I didn't think there was that much to see there (although I didn't really get to the old part) so we used it as way of going to Nice for the day. The train station is about a 20-25 minute walk from the tender. Read through some pages on this board and you will get some ideas as to what you can do if you don't want to stay in Cannes. You can take the bus or train to Antibes and have a really nice luncheon etc....
Rare Hlitner Posted April 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Many European ports (such as Cannes) are seen more as a gateway port which gives cruisers access to a region as well as the actual port city. Cannes allows access to many places from St Tropez in the west all the way to the Italian border in the east. A few places in that area are Antibes, St Paul de Vence, Nice, Grasse, Eze Village, Monte Carlo, Menton, etc. Cruisers can book many different excursions, arrange private tours, or simply go independent using trains, buses, or rental cars.
