fgn Posted September 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2005 How many days in advance of a cruise is booking closed on NCL?
johnql Posted September 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2005 I believe post-9/11 the passenger manifest needs to be finalized within 3 days of the sailing date. (Somebody, correct me if I'm wrong about this.) I guess that means a cruise line will attempt to sell off any empty cabins up until 4 days before sailing. At that late a date, you would either receive your documents through email or at the pier.

niya305 Posted September 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2005 How many days in advance of a cruise is booking closed on NCL? Reservations have to be booked at least 24 hours prior to sailing.
smeyer418 Posted September 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2005 hmmm my understanding is somewhat different. I believe a list must be supplied to home land security 48 hours before the ship sails. There is also a requirement that names be supplied before a ship enters a US Port(which I thought was 96 hours) so depending on where the ship is heading that list may be due as well. Remember the US CG kicked out a ship from Charleston because the list wasn't timely filed. The curise lines need sometime to prepare list so they close the boooking sometime before the times listed above. see for example http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/display?theme=
