what happened to dr. e did he move to another ship? cruised the glory 1/24/15 and had a great cruise. it took a few days to get used to the "singing cruise director" but after that i thought he was one of the most hands on cruise directors we have had. i thought he was very good and entertaining.

I'm glad to hear that! As I understand, Dr. E will be our CD on Breeze in July as Matt Mitcham will be on vacation.

It has been a busy weekend but I am back with more!!

 

Day 2 / Nassau

 

Tuesday was our stop in Nassau. We woke up early and headed up to the buffet for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was nothing special but had plenty of variety. I heard the made to order omelettes are good but did not get a chance to try them this time. The line was always longer than I wanted to wait.

 

We have always went over to Atlantis while in Nassau, but decided to try something different this time around. We took the bus to the Melia Beach Resort and purchased a day pass. For those interested...the day pass was $30 for adults and $25 for kids. It included use of their 3 pools, beach, beach chairs/umbrellas and snorkel mask/fins. They use to let you pay more for the pass to include lunch but the lady confirmed that they do not do this anymore. I believe there is a Grill and Market Place where food can be purchased. We did not have lunch there so I am not sure what the cost of food would be. They also have all kinds of water toys that you can rent for an additional cost.

 

Melia Beach Resort

 

The resort was really nice and we would definitely return there again but on this day the weather was a little chilly and so we did not swim as much as we normally would have. We actually did not stay but only a few hours so I felt a little bit like our money had been wasted. We ended up going back into town and walking around a bit before returning to the ship for a late lunch. This day my husband again had Guys Burgers and I gave the Fish N Chips a try which was very good.

After lunch my husband returned to the room for a nap while I took the kids up to the Lido for some swimming.

 

That evening was elegant night so we all got dressed up and headed to dinner. I had the Caesar Salad, Lobster Tail and Chocolate Melting Cake. All of it was very good!

 

After dinner we went to the Punchliner for a PG comedy show (kids were with us). My husband and I enjoyed it but a little over the kids head. My 9 year old thought some things were inappropriate but I don't think she really understood it was all in joking (the old lady on stage brought up a 15 year old boy and was "hitting" on him. Before sending him back to his seat she gave him a big kiss right on the lips.

 

When the show was finished it was back to the room for an early bedtime. Another early day was ahead of us!

We are set to go on Glory for my first cruise May 31st im so excited

Just curious if you ever listened to "Groovy Tunes With Keith"? We just got off the Glory April 11th and had the unfortunate opportunity to listen to him once on Lido deck and another time while he was at the Casino stage. He had a nice singing voice but he acted drunk both times we saw him perform and he was rude and inappropriate to the cruisers. I was appalled that he was employed with Carnival. After that, when came around, it was time for us to pack up and move along. Everything else was fabulous!!
