Muumuu Posted April 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2015 What are the differences between the sides?
BaseballMomof4 Posted April 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2015 It is really going to depend on the route the ship is going which side will have the better views. When we cruised the Med in 2013, since the ship was (for the most part) traveling South the port side got most of the land views. Check the map on the itinerary and see which direction the ship spends most of its time sailing and then decide ;)
BigRed93 Posted April 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Port side is supposed to be the sunnier side if you want the heat on the balcony during the day. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app Again, I think that would be determined by the direction the ship is going.
BigRed93 Posted April 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I assumed we are talking about the TA, since that was the title. For the most part it will be headed west. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

Muumuu Posted April 13, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Actually my concern is sun. I have skin problems and need to avoid it as much as possible. I have a cove on port side for the TA Europe to NY. Any suggestions will be welcomed. Thank you.
MrMileStoner Posted April 16, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2015 Statue of Liberty should be on the Port side.

I haven't stayed in a cove, but seeing where they are on the other dream class ships it seems you are shaded by both the overhang of the lifeboats and the hull enclosure. Maybe someone who has sailed in one can help you with how much sun you might get out there. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
