dunhill Posted April 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2015 My wife and I are getting on the Epic during the Rome port stop. I understand most of the guests board in Barcelona several days earlier. When do we do the lifeboat drill or do we get out of it (can only hope). Thanks
k9x8 Posted April 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2015 I, too, have wondered how it's handled, though not obsessing. Seems like embarking in Civi should be a breeze, as most passengers will be off the ship for the day.

What emergency situation could possibly happen off the coast of Italy.
glittergal1 Posted April 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2015 I would hope that you will still have to do a life boat drill I thought it was now Law ? On my last MSC cruise that had multiple embarkation ports we still had one just before sailing I expect NCL would be the same ?

Everyone boarding in Civi met in the theater after the announcement. The cruise director introduced some staff, it was short and actually quite funny. Enjoyed it more than the usual drills I've had. Single Cruiser Posted April 18, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2015 The full drill is done in Barcelona with whistles and bells and muster stations. The few guests who join mid cruise get a "private" drill in either the theatre or headliners the same as the "catch-up" drills they do for guests who miss the main drill.
