Can you tell if OBC will be refunded to you at end of cruise?

Last cruise, I had OBC awarded due to my initial cruise being chartered. Rather than lose it, we spent it in the stores (perfume and iPad gadgets) and has $1.20 cr which my final bill says will be credited to my credit card.

So does some

OBC get refunded and if yes, can you tell from your invoice please?

Thanks

Yes some gets refunded.

No, you probably cannot tell from your invoice.

Once you are on board, your SeaPass account will tell you if you have OBC-N, which is non-refundable, or OBC-R, which is refundable. The OBC will be coded.

You may have both kinds. If so, the cruise line will use the OBC-N first, then start to dip into the OBC-R. Any OBC-R will be refunded back to your credit card.

OBC has different sources and this is the reason some will be refunded and some won't. Best rule of thumb is that if X gives you the OBC it won't be refunded and if you get it from another source there will be a refund of any unused credits. Just make sure that the credits that a travel agent gives you are not coming directly from an offer X has made through the agent. The nice thing is that X uses the nonrefundable first. The other thing to watch with X is that they seldom let you get credits from 2 different promotions. No double dipping so to speak.

Once on board you can check with Guest Services and they will tell you how much of your OBC is refundable and how much is not. I was able to cash out my non-refundable OBC in the casino as well for a fee back in January.

Once you are on board, and once the OBC has been applied to your account, just go on the TV to review and it will show OBC-R (refundable) and OBC-N (non-refundable). The OBC-N will be used up first.

Can't really tell from your invoice. If it's from a TA, it is usually refundable, unless the TA got it to give to you through Celebrity. If it's from Celebrity direct, due to a promotion, it is non-refundable.
