Spirit..interior cabin deck 4. What's the chances of an upgrade?

Hi,

Shall we or shan't we..tick the box.

We have two cabins next to each other 1135/39 riviera deck, deck four. Interior.

Has anyone been upgraded from the bowels of the ship to a window? Or better?

We are four mums travelling on the spirit in July from Sydney for seven nights.

Money is limited, hence the interior cabins.

Thoughts anyone?

Upgrades rarely happen. Read the upgrade threads here, they are almost all upsells but mis-titled.

Upsell offers happen to some, you have to decide if the offer they make you is worth the cost to upgrade your cabin type/location.

I hate to burst your bubble, but if you are expecting an upgrade offer, you will certainly be disappointed. IMHO, way too much attention is given to upgrades on this board as they are extremely rare.

They are extremely rare here in the US and I can't say how full the ship is sailing from Australia. As the previous poster said more often then not it's an upsell offer.

The 4 of you need to decide if it's more important to be in close proximity to each other or chance one of the cabins being moved several decks away.

I would want to be close to friends just to make going to dinner and setting out for shore excursions more orderly.

Do make sure that your booking numbers are all linked and that you have been confirmed for the same dining time. That way you will be seated at the same table.

Thank you for those answers.

We have anytime dining, so all good there.

We were just on the pearl, and had an obstructed view and got upgraded to non obstructed along with four other couples we talked to at dinner ( again, anytime dining , sit where you want and when)

Just wondered if the spirit was as generous as the pearl had been....

But we are mid ship, one lady never cruised ..may get nauseas.

One cabin may go higher but still inside which defeats the purpose etc.

So for this cruise, I think we won't tick the box.

If it was me and hubby...Ild def have that box ticked, but would hate to tick it and then not be able to bang on the wall good morning, cos one only got moved, to a balcony!!!

Thanks again
