bring alcohol onboard

I know this is a tried and true question;

I read today that Celebrity has gotten stricter(Aug 05) and willnot allow liquor on board, via your own stash from home or from a port of call.

We are on a Med cruise and was wondering if this is true?

Thanks

Yes it is true but not a new thing. You are allowed beer and wine but not Liquor.If you take your wine to the dining room there is a corkage fee. If you want to bring hard stuff it has to go in your bags, not the carry on. No problem having it in your cabin.
