Has anyone ever stayed in Ruby L209 or L210 - was there noise from above fitness center and aerobics area?

In L210 you are under the message area, so probably no worries about noise there. L209, however, is under the fitness center area (just barely) so there may be noise from there. Especially if you are a late sleeper or just want a quite afternoon nap. We always avoid cabins under the fitness area.

This has been a problem with grand class ships since grand entered

service in 1998.

It is a shame that princess hasn't figure out how to manage the noise.

They need to hire some acoustic engineers, rather than the pathetic

restricting of treadmills before 8:00.

Had a friend on the Crown Princess earlier this year, who got a "free upgrade" to one of the "under the fitness center" rooms. He noticed the 'thundering heard' noise from the treadmill almost instantly. Needless to say, he was stuck in this room for his (thankfully only 4 day) cruise.

And note - 8am time is for sailing guests. The crew/staff has access to the fitness center even earlier in the morning (and possibly after closing hours), so "all is not quiet" prior to 8am.

Word to the wise - make sure your room selection is marked "no upgrade" if you don't want to risk this kind of upgrade nightmare.

Well your friend should not have put up with it and advised management.

This can be an issue on any/every sailing.
