Galveston Port question

We will be going out next Sat on the Freedom and was wondering if there is a convience store within walking distance of the port? We will be arriving via Carnivals shuttle from the airport that day so we would like to carry on some bottled water and pop but don't want to fly with that in our luggage.

The only stores are those along The Strand. I don't think any of them sell the things you need. You would have better luck by taking a non cruise-line shuttle. Look at some of the other threads for less expensive options that also have more flexibility.
