Angela61280 Posted April 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hi everyone! Our little family of 3 will be headed to Curacao in about 2 weeks. We have the odd Breeze itinerary of 1pm-10pm. I've heard there's good snorkeling from shore. Our ds is 4 1/4, so we will either take him and switch on and off, or check him into camp if it's not a beachy fun place for him too. Which beaches should we look into? My wish list (lol) closer to port, not at the seaquarium, food/drinks nearby, chairs/changing area... (Too much?). I'd really like somewhere where we could rent the equipment nearby. I'm not a snorkeling snob, but I'd like to go to a place with good snorkeling :) When we typically go snorkeling, we take an excursion through the ship, with ds in camp.. But I can't find anything through the ship that looks decent. Help! Please!!
macaroni Posted April 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2015 Go to the beach at the Marriott. 5 minutes from the ship..great snorkeling from shore..just bring a towel or blanket since you can't use their lounges.
Emmysmomma9 Posted May 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2015 is a 30 min taxi drive away...there is a restaurant , showers, restrooms and many lounge chairs with shade. There is a dive center there- manybe they have snorkel equipment...Try to google them or do a CC search. It is well worth the trip. Lots of concrete balls sunken in 10 ft of water with many fish. Calm water for snorkeling.
Isa65 Posted May 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2015 You can also check out Blue Bay. Porto Marie is great for snorkeling, but in my opinion too far to leave your child on the ship. But that's your call, of course.
Annastasis Posted May 2, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2015 Just got got from Curaçao and we booked a snorkel excursion with Scubacao. It was awesome! Small group, 3 stops, 2 secluded beaches (we were the only ones there) and the blue room which requires jumping into water. Soooo awesome! trenter33 Posted October 22, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2015 how hard is it getting out of the water at the blue room? My wife is worried she will have to climb up rock.
