cruiserninja1 Posted April 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2015 If you have booked or are thinking of booking the Hampton Inn ( Seabrook) , I advice that you seek new accommodations . The hotel is practically burning to the ground as I type this .
MoCowBell Posted May 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2015 Bayport is closed. There are no ships in port until November if I remember correctly. Can't recall exactly when the season starts for them but they just shut down these past few weeks. So that is perfect timing for the fire really. They can collect on the insurance and rebuild in time for the new tourist season. Amazing coincidence!

shernor Posted May 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2015 Wanted to give people cruising out of Texas a heads up. We had reservations at the Hampton Inn Houston NASA-Johnson Space Center (3000 Nasa Road One, Seabrook, Texas) and found out in a very roundabout way that it had a fire last week and is closed indefinitely. I have received 2 email confirmations from them, but they are no longer there! Only on the "modify reservation" page was there a note that the hotel is closed! Galveston Cruiser Posted May 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2015 It actually burned to the ground. Fortunately, no one was injured.
