Booking excursions before embarkation

If I book and pay for a Carnival excursion now, what happens if I have to cancel? There are 9 family members who want to book an excursion but I can't see how many tickets are available. What if some of us get booked but then it's sold out before the rest can book? Can I get my money back? What's the process?

Each line has its own protocols. I would call the line and ask. Depending upon the Port of Call you may want to consider taking an independent excursion and by pass the ships tour. It will save you a lot of expense. Once you depart the ship you will find tour operators at the dock or cabs. Happy travels!
