Montego Bay, grabbing a town tour from port?

Hello all, We usually like to grab a private type tour from someone local as soon as we get off of the cruise ship, especially if its a new port. We have had very good experience, half the cost, half the time and the same stops as the cruise excursion. BUT, i know Jamaica can be a little more,,, mmmm, hardcore. From what i read the odds of getting ripped off here might be a little higher. Just wondering if someone has booked this type of excursion from the port after arriving, like a 2 hour tour of the local highlights and then getting dropped of at doctors cave beach for the rest of the day?

 

If anyone has experience with this lately, we would really appreciate the advice. Ps we are a combo family of 7, so might be an added wrinkle.
