How Many?

How many wall outlets are there in a suite typically? We are sailing on the conquest in a suite, and we have an infant so we want to be able to plug things in for ourselves as well as her. Is there a policy on extension cords? I seem to remember something about them being confiscated? Thanks

No extension cords allowed but I do bring a strip. My last suite had plugs in the bathroom and the main room. So 2. But it was a 2 room suite on Sunshine.

They sure are stingy with outlets.

If you take a strip, make sure it is in perfect condition or they will confiscate it. There is only so much power the ship can make and they don't want people overloading the circuits.

On the Liberty in the suite we had there was on in the cabin by the mirror and one the dressing area in bath room. Plus the one for razors in the bath room.

 

On the Breeze there was two working outlets by the mirror in the cabin. That cabin was not a suite.

We've never had an extension cord confiscated.

 

We do also take a universal socket adapter, because most of the ships have a European outlet.

We have the Belkin outlet with USB as well, it takes care of everything we need on the counter.

I know disney DID take away our power strip, RCCL and carnival have not. We didn't know it was against Disney's policy.

Also what we use. Have taken it several times and no problems other than whiny people on a Disney Cruise FB page that chastised us for taking it.

That isn't why they are confiscating it. They have quite a bit of excess power.

 

They are concerned about fire and fire hazards. Who knows what and how much training the cabin stewards have been given on this, but you can be pretty sure they have been told to collect anything that looks like a fire hazard.
