KruzeKrazy! Posted May 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2015 After our FP cruise we'll be staying a few days on Moorea. Of course, on our departure day we'll need to check out of our hotel around 11am but the flight from PPT isn't until 10pm. Other than transfer to the ferry, take the ferry, and transfer to the airport does anyone have any tips as to what we should do for those 11 or so hours (including having our luggage)? Thanks! RZ3 Posted May 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) Rent a car for the day and explore Tahiti. You can rent downtown and drop off at the airport. Edited May 22, 2015 by RZ3
KruzeKrazy! Posted May 22, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Thanks RZ3! We arrive early for the cruise and have 2 days and nights in PPT pre-cruise. So if we do our Tahiti exploring then any other suggestions?
beckyindallas Posted May 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Hi - do you know the name or have a link on how to rent one of those convertible/jeep cards on Moorea? I cannot find anything on how to rent one. We are coming in on Celebrity in April and would like to get one for the day.
jilly08 Posted May 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Rent a car for the day and explore Tahiti. You can rent downtown and drop off at the airport. You should check and see if you can get a late check out from your room or see how much it would be to do a day room--where you would still have access to a shower and spend the day at your hotel. Also, check the ferry schedule to see what time the last ferry is. They have locker rentals at the airport too. So you can lock up your luggage and I'm told there is a Chinese Restaurant right up the hill from the airport. After that, I'm sure it will be time to check in for the flight. KruzeKrazy! Posted May 22, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Thanks, Jill. That was kind of my thinking. Still pondering options... Same for what excursions to do (except for Bora Bora where we're doing Patrick's on day 1).
Mercruiser Posted May 22, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) On our last trip, we rented a car, explored Tahiti, and then had dinner at the food trucks (roulettes), before heading to the airport. That worked really well. If you don't want to rent a car, you might consider going to one of the evening Tahitian dance dinner shows at a resort hotel. Generally speaking, there are no ferries after dark. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk Edited May 22, 2015 by Mercruiser
