Quantum of the Seas review mini

Recommended Posts

Been on the Allure and Oasis so we decided to try the Quantum last Feb. We all loved it. And would go on it again if it were out of Fla. Going out of N.J. was not fun at all. We always go on cruises in Feb. so back to Fla. will be the only way to go from now on.

The weather was terrible coming and going. So the first two days and the last two days the top deck was impossible to be on. I felt we lost those days. I loved to walk the track so that was off limits for four days.

I didn't like the track being on top for one big reason people just wouldn't let

any of the runners or walkers get pass them. People who figured out what the use was for did stay out of the way. I prefer the Oasis and Allure track. And hundreds of people do use it. It is pretty popular on those cruise ships. I did

walk the hall ways late at night to get my walks in.

Love all the high tech throughout the ship. Older people had a hard time figuring it out with trying to schedule their choices at night. It was a hassle to

do it on the computers at guest services so we just went directly to the restaurants and they did it for us.

Meals in the buffet and all the rest of the restaurants were good. Only complaint I had was the food in the buffet wasn't hot enough. Especially the eggs. I am not one to eat at fancy restaurants . I like being able to eat fresh

fruits and vegs so the buffet was my choice.

We tried all the entertainment shows we could fit in. All were great. Go to them all . If you don't like it leave. We didn't have time for the bumper cars.

I did the flight simulator. It was on my bucket list but I won't do it again. I can brag I did it.

We were in the casino about every night. I probably won over $700. and my husband I know he won $500. one night. Both of us played the slots. My sister won several times. She also won in bingo and the slot tournament. So yes you can win on cruise ships. And you can also lose a bundle as well. We take money we don't expect to bring back. Winning is just a plus in the end .

We didn't meet any rude or down right mean people on this trip. All the employees were outstanding. I love we are so taken care of in our rooms.

It was always clean every second of the day.

We got to watch the super Bowl on the big screen. RC. had a buffet table with

hot dogs and hamburgers with all the selection of foods to go with them.

Even though our team didn't make the play offs we went just to see the half time show. But I can brag Ohio State won the championship!!!

My sister had a single room which was bigger than expected. I was worried it would of been a closet. I think her shower was bigger than ours. She had plenty of storage, t.v. nice size bed. Wish they would have more single rooms. I am sure they would be sold out fast.

Our room was like that on the Oasis and Allure. One big plus the shower was a lot nicer . Hope they have improve on the other two ships. That was a big complaint I heard before.

I did go up to the gym for one day. It is an excellent gym with a great view.

But for me it was too hot. And I really hate gyms in the first place.

Being on there for 10 days you would think you would run out of things to do.

We didn't have the time to do several of the events.

Only real complaint we all had was getting on the ship. This one lady wouldn't

let any one on if it wasn't your time to go. We would sit there for over an hour when no one else was going in. She said she wasn't letting any one go off schedule. Always before they would just let you go to keep things flowing. Not this lady. And she was ticking everyone off.

Then when we all left the ship it was pouring rain and cold. The workers there made us stand in the rain to wait for taxi or buses. They had no where for us to wait out from the rain. They have a little over hang but the jerk employee kept telling everyone to leave and move. I felt bad for the wheel chair people and the 80 year olds to stand in the cold rain. Some of the people told the employees where to go. LOL

Our flight leaving N.J. was delayed for a couple hours due to the poor weather conditions. In fact most flights were cancelled. They managed to get our plane de-iced and we were on our way. It was kinda bumpy so I was wondering maybe we should of been delayed. Didn't get our luggage for three days later. They delivered it 3:00 am in a snow storm here in Ohio. I don't get upset about luggage. At least it was after the trip. It is just part a traveling.

Like I said never going to leave out of N.J. in the winter months again . EVER.

We have to worry about getting out of Detroit as it is.

Next cruise in 2016 on the Oasis . Can't wait.
