curious_st Posted May 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2015 We are planning to stay a couple of days in St Pete Beach before our cruise in October. Does anyone have any must-do suggestions for the Tampa area during our stay?

FlaGrl4Evr Posted June 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Looking for a hotel with airport shuttle and cruise shuttle. Planning on flying into TPA couple days early. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks Kathy 3 hotels that have an airport shuttle and a round-trip cruise shuttle are: Holiday Inn Express Rocky Point Hampton Inn Rocky Point Chase Suites Rocky Point. ***** the return shuttle is a nice perk and a savings of $25 - $30 The Rocky Point area is near the airport and a 15 min shuttle ride to the port. The area overlooks the Bay and makes for a nice pre-cruise stay. . The Best Western Bay Harbor Rocky Point is also very nice and offers private balconies that overlook the water. They have a cruise package with airport shuttle and a shuttle to the port but not sure if they have a return shuttle... The hotel however does have the balconies and IMHO that is a very nice perk as sitting out there overlooking the water at sunset is a perfect way to unwind with a cold drink. The Best Western does not include breakfast where the Holiday Inn, Hampton and Chase Suites do.... it's just a matter of priorities. . NCEMT Posted June 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2015 We stayed in the Hampton Inn a few years ago, beautiful hotel, close to port and they had a shuttle. Trip Advisor is a good resourse.
4774Papa Posted June 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 19, 2015 I did some research on hotels that provide free parking in Tampa as well as shuttles to port. There are the ones that look like the best deals. Has anyone stayed at any of these hotels? Hampton Inn Tampa-International Airport/Westshore $ 122.08 Hampton Inn Tampa/Rocky Point-Airport $ 204.00 Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa/Rocky Point Island 159.00 USD Quality Inn & Suites Near Fairgrounds Ybor City $114 night The first Hampton seems to be a good deal. Quality Inn has no poor reviews, but is a two star. Still, it might be an option.
