We will be boarding the Sunshine on 6/14. Need to know a couple of things. (1) We have a balcony room on deck seven will it have a hair dryer, flat screen tv and a mini fridge, (2) It is a five night cruise with the second night having been the sea day, will that night be the formal night ?

are there cabins on the Sunshine that do have refrigs....I did not realize any did

After the remake from the Destiny to the Sunshine any new cabins added have fridges. I believe all suites have fridges as well. No worries, take a small cooler and have your cabin steward keep refilling it with ice. Worked just fine for us on Deck 6.

I have a question for anyone. My classmates are looking at a 40th anniversary cruise on the Sunshine. I like to gamble but don't smoke. I've seen reviews that complained about smoke in the casino.... Does anyone know if they are allowed to smoke in the casino on this ship?? Would be fist time with Carnival for me. Thanks for any info.

First, great idea for a class reunion. Second, I also like to play the slots, but am not a smoker. I really enjoyed the Sunshine, but hated the amount of smoke in the casino. They do have sections for smokers and non-smokers. However, the ventilation was so bad you couldn't tell there were separate sections. Unless this situation has been changed in the past year, you will not be happy breathing in the casino.

Us too. Steward filled our cooler in the morning and in the evening. Sometimes we ran out, but a quick trip to one of the bars for a bucket of ice solved the problem. :)

Thanks sailingwithfriends. Unfortunately I just spent 6 months battling a smokers cancer which I've never smoked. Probably from second hand casino smoke... I guess it will be part of my decision to go or not. thanks again for the info.

Hey there! Just got off a 5 nighter on Sunshine. Yes, the sea day is the formal night (I'm guessing you depart on a Sunday and Monday will be the first day at sea and formal night). Also, my aunt had a cabin on deck 3 and she had a mini fridge. I'm not sure if it was requested due to her breastfeeding and needing somewhere to store the milk, or if it just came with the cabin.
