Prices should drop next summer from Florida ports, here's why!

Recommended Posts

Summer 2016 changes:

Port Everglades Increases 1800 passengers a week

*Allure 5400 (Replaces Independence 3600 pax)

Port Miami Increases 7909 passengers a week

*Ncl escape 4248 (new for 2016)

*RCCL enchantment 2446 (replaces majesty 2744)

*MSC Divinia 3959 (returns once again year round after taking a break)

This will be similar to the 2014 summer season when the epic and Divinia were here so I do imagine prices will fall next year for summer sailings.

So far summer prices are up from last year :-(

The cruise lines will charge whatever they think they can get, out of that segment of cruisers who need/want to book early.

While hoping to ignore the increasing numbers of disgruntled passengers who compare those fares, to those of people who book after final payment.

I meant last minute prices, watch what happens, they will be dirt cheap

You don't need to wait... an overcapacity of cabins in the Alaskan market has the June 26th, 7 night cruise on Radiance OTS priced at $336pp! with $100 OBC... ($200 OBC if you are a shareholder )

So much for the recently stated policy of "ending last minute discounts."

Similar dirt cheap prices on Princess and HAL as well, but with even MORE OBC.

Some of those Alaskan prices are really good. Alaska is on my bucket list so maybe in a couple of years I will give it a go. I can't go next summer because of my Baltic cruise but I will watch prices and if they are that low at the last minute again then I may see what summer of 2017 holds. If they don't go down that year then no big deal, will just save my money and plan a cruise later on! Booking last minute is a great way to save if you aren't dead set on going.
