WE'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just returned from a 7 day trip on HAL Amsterdam. It was a very nice cruise and I am ready to go to Alaska again!

Our friend did NOT get a passport and did not need one. He had his official birth certificate and had no problem checking in.

We went through Tracey Arm, stopped at Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan. The best day was Juneau with sunny skies and a whale excursion where we saw literally DOZENS of whales surrounding the boat. I didn't know where to take video and pictures - there were so many. Even the excursion crew said they had never seen anything like it. I am ruined now for any other whale watching excursion! The rain started at Sitka and continued through Ketchikan. We still enjoyed the ports but probably not as much as we would in nicer weather. The ship was really rocking on the way to Ketchikan. We stopped at Victoria but it seemed like a wasted stop. It was pretty and we enjoyed the lights but really couldn't do much at night.

Just wanted to report back and let everyone know it turned out GREAT and I am glad we went.

We told you, you would love it lol

I might be ruined for Alaska too. Our weather was amazing in every port. Whale watching in Juneau was great for us to. I agree about Victoria. Might not even get of the ship next time.

Yes, I don't mind saying you all told me so!!!

It would be nice if Victor,ia wasn't the last night. It was impossible to spend our OBC because the shops closed so early (we tried but didn't quite make it). I like to spend the last night in the casino or just watching a movie. I know next time to stay on the ship and go to the movie or spa.
