Connecting rooms?

We booked a cruise a few months from now. My husband booked it on the phone and was told we could book connecting rooms(we are taking our kids along) so we did that. I was looking at the deck plans on Carnivals website and our rooms aren't shown as connecting. My husband thinks they are but I am unsure. I plan on calling later just to be sure. So my question is do the deck plans always show a connecting room?

Yes, on the Carnival website, look a the deck plan of the ship that you are on. Locate your cabin. The connecting rooms have a little white triangle between the cabins that are adjoining.

If your cabin does not have a triangle connecting to the other correct cabin number, they do not adjoin.

You may have connecting balconies instead of connecting rooms. I called the other day as I had an email of an upgrade. They wanted me to pay $40 per room to go to a higher deck where the balconies connect, but not the rooms.
