Gem Obstructed OV Rooms?

We are thinking about booking the Gem New England cruise for 2016.

 

I see cat Ok Obstructed OV on deck 8

 

How is the deck plan in reference to these rooms. I see some rooms that look unobstructed or between lifeboats. Is this just a illusion or is this pretty accurate.

 

In general how does everyone like the Gem

We just got off the gem two weeks ago and had to ok deck 8 cabins. They were 8096 & 8098, I was in 8098 and the window is just above the life boats. It wasn't a bad view at all, was in the room 8096 and can not remember if it was the same or not. Both rooms had a lot of room because they are handicapped rooms. Large bath room with not shower doors. It was a shower curtain for A wheel chair to come in.
