Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted June 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I got FTTF for $59.99. I just saw on the excursion page for my cruise, the price is now $49.99. Should I cancel and rebook it, or submit a price guarantee form?
elliair Posted June 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2015 Wasn't it always $49.99? Did they raise the price and when?
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted June 24, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted June 24, 2015 They raised it a couple months ago I guess? Not sure exactly when. But, I absolutely paid $59.

I'm very surprised at that since it doesn't cost Carnival a thing for FTTF to board along with Diamond and Platinum folks. Well, as I always say FTYW (Faster to Your Wallet). Have you tried calling Carnival and asking them about giving you the $10 credit?
Cakediva1 Posted June 24, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I just purchased my FTTF last week sailing on the Victory next week and I paid $49.99.
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted June 24, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted June 24, 2015 Yes I did. She said the price should be $59.95. But, I'm definitely seeing $49 on my excursion page. Could I book FTTF under my wife, and, assuming I get it for $49, then cancel the first one I bought (under my name)?
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted June 24, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I just purchased my FTTF last week sailing on the Victory next week and I paid $49.99. How many days is your sailing? Only 5 days or more went up in price

Troublemaker47 Posted June 24, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 24, 2015 If you cancel, you probably won't be able to rebook. Once they are shut down, that's it. And pvp's can't adjust as it's considered a shore excursion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Singer4Him Posted June 24, 2015 #12 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I just got excited but when I checked it for our cruise in November, it's still $59.95. I was able to get one for us a month or so ago but our friends who are sailing with us haven't been able to get it yet, so I keep checking several times a day to see if one has opened up yet. eponym Posted June 24, 2015 #13 Share Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) You run the risk of not getting it back if you cancel it. Have you tried calling Carnival and asking them about giving you the $10 credit? I thought it was $49.xx for cruises under a certain number of days, and $59.xx for cruises over a certain number of days sailing. The price changes went into effect in the last 90 days. dchoney Posted June 24, 2015 #16 Share Posted June 24, 2015 Before you cancel it, book a second FTTF under the second person in the cabin. Then cancel your FTTF. That was you don't lose out.

If that doesn't work, contact them about the best price guarantee...

WeBCruisinAgain Posted June 24, 2015 #23 Share Posted June 24, 2015 We booked a 7 day cruise on the Magic on November 8th and got our FTTF for $49.95. So not really sure where the difference lies.
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted June 24, 2015 Author #24 Share Posted June 24, 2015 Got FTTF in wife's name for $49 and cancelled one in mine. My booking page shows it correctly. I got the email confirmation of the purchase right away. How long before I get email confirmation of refund for cancelled one?
snc_cam Posted June 24, 2015 #25 Share Posted June 24, 2015 congrats. I think it takes 3 business days to get a credit. However, I would think the email should come within 24 hours. If you don't get it tomorrow, check with Carnival excursions.
