best way from southhampton airport to cunard terminal?

hi,

first time user with last minute question (i'm sailing on QE2 from southhampton tommorrow). what's the best/easiest way to get from southhampton airport to the cunard terminal? also, what are the hair dryer's like in the cabins? are they any good or should my wife bring her own (as you can see she concentrates on the important things in life!).

Taxi is the best way to get form SH airport to Cunard terminal. IIRC, it's a 10-15 minute trip.

We too are on this crossing. Leaving for Southampton today!!

 

First things first. In my experience it is always best to take your own hairdryer. The ones provided on other ships I have been on and also in hotels are usually stored away in drawers and I personally liken them to using a black and decker dustbuster when really you need a Dyson!!!!!!

 

Best way to the terminal is via a taxi. It shouldn't take too long but the Southampton boat show is on this week and all the hotels seem to be full. So I guess there will be lots of traffic on the road.

The taxi's are, or should be, a fixed price from the airport to the docks. £12 each way.

 

I used to live down there and used the taxi's on a regular basis til last November.

We're on the QM2 tomorrow but my tickets just say departing from Southampton which seems a little vague. Does anyone know where we head for?

If you are flying into Southampton airport, get a taxi to the cruise terminal, if driving make for eastern docks, if by train get a taxi from the station...just say Queen Mary 2 and the drivers know where to take you.
