For those of us who know Steve Odell....Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is expanding its presence in the Australia and Pacific region by establishing a sales and marketing office based in Sydney, to be led by Steve Odell, most recently Silversea Cruises' president Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

The office will represent Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Odell will be joining as svp and managing director Australasia for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. Beginning Oct. 1, he will be responsible for the continued growth of the company’s presence in the region and differentiating each brand’s offerings.

Good luck Steve!!!

We too, met Steve at an SS function in May of this year, and are stunned that he has left SS.

Am surprised that money talks - even at this level - I think he will be difficult to replace, certain that he will be a big asset to NCL

Interesting to see what other CC'ers think?

Kindest regards

Master Echo

It sounds like the position with NCL is Sydney based. When Steve was with Silversea, he was based in Sydney until a few years ago and then was posted to the UK/EU - perhaps he just wants to move back to Sydney with family to work - who wouldn't?

Stumblefoot, I may be confused--which I often am--but didn't you have dinner at Dinner by Blumenthal in London. How was it? Meeting friends in Sept and they have made reservations
You have a tremendous memory derbylane! Unfortunately, while we did have dinner scheduled at Dinner by Blumenthal, two days of flight cancellations by British Airways only allowed us to ultimately make our flight connection to Athens. So, we never actually were able to dine there.

Would love to hear what you thought about the place and, or course, the food after your visit in September. Enjoy!
