First Time Cruiser-NCL SKY question

I'm not a last minute type person, so making my list & checking it twice (well, truth be known, several times over). Can someone please tell me exactly how many carry on bags are allowed per passenger? I know the FAQ says 2, but I was just curious if they are sticklers to that rule? Also, any pointers that you would like to share that would greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks,
Angie 😊

No one (on CC) has ever reported being restricted to the official 2-bag maximum. In fact, it's probably close to impossible to enforce such a policy since you can drop bags off with a porter in addition to carrying on smaller bags. My guess is that the official policy exists in order for the cruise line to be able to point to something in writing if someone abuses the policy (e.g., someone trying to move 10 foot lockers cheaply from NYC to FL).

Just a quick postscript since I see that you're sailing on the Sky, which is either a 3- or 4-day cruise. IMHO if you're packing more than two 50-lb bags for such a short cruise, I would suggest that you are over-packing. Edited by johnql

We just got off the ship - and LOVED it! Most people had two bags, and some two and a purse. We took small carry ons so we did not have to drop off and pick up. With a back pack for my husband and a small shoulder bag for me we had plenty of room for swim suits, sunscreen, hats and sunglass - all we needed until our luggage came to our room, which was about 1:30 when the rooms were ready too. Have a great trip! Ask if you have any other questions - this was our first cruise and it was smooth sailing all the way because I did a little research here first!
