jpcello Posted July 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2015 My sister and I are making our second trip to Bermuda. I didn't do enough research the first time so it wasn't much fun. Last time we took the accessible tour of the island. It was OK but we're looking for other options since we're there for 3 days. We really want to go to the beach in Bermuda (which we didn't do the first time). My sister uses a Luggie travel scooter and walks with a cane. Our biggest concern is someplace that she can go to get out of the heat. She has MS and needs to be able to take a break from the heat and sun. Do any of the public beaches have restaurants or areas with shade? I'm thinking about the beach right at Dockside but would love to go to Horseshoe Beach. We can definitely do a public shuttle because I can fold up the scooter and she can do some steps and walk short distances (I'm there to assist on the beach). I posted this on the Bermuda board but I thought I'd post this here as well. Thanks
xxoocruiser Posted July 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) Also have MS and am heat sensitive . Suggest that your sister look into getting a cooling towel to being with her and or a cooling hat. If unfamiliar with these items just do a GOOGLE search. Both items work pretty good. The only thing I remember is the Horseshoe Café but that's more a fast food stand . No inside seating.
