San Pedro Shopping

We have about 8 hours between our flight landing at LAS and our departure on the Vision of the Seas.

Is there a shopping area nearby the piers? I don't want to be lugging around our suitcases, etc. for too long, but would like to hit a liquor vendor ;) and possible a few other "goodies" before we board.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

The port area itself does not have much shopping. You can down a ways and get to Ports 'O Call. That is one of those seaport village type places with lots of cutsy shops. The liquor stores near there are pretty local. Use care if you stop there. You might want to see if you can get on the ship early or see if a Long Beach hotel will allow you to check your luggage. There is a new outdoor mall area with lots of restaurants in Long Beach which is 5 to 10 minutes from the cruise ship ports.
