? re: 1 cabin can't go, can we sub 2 new ppl?

We have a cruise booked in September. Final payment already paid. One cabin (2ppl) can't go (and they didn't get insurance). Can we get 2 new people in the cabin with only a service charge for name changes or do they just have to cancel?

I believe it also depends on the rate you booked through. Early Saver doesn't allow name changes, but it may allow rescheduling depending on the time frame.

It the policy because if what you are trying to do was allowed,people could just book a cheap cabin,change the names then get 2 new people and potentiality make a profit.

Best probably for them to just cancel, however, if you found at least one more person, you could add them to the room, and cancel only one of the two original people, and the other would just be a no show.

You know from the response you can not substitute two new people. Even if they booked early saver they can minimize the money lost by cancelling sooner rather than later. I don't remember the penalty breakdown. You really need to have them talk to their PVP, TA or CSR. TODAY

and this is why we always buy trip insurance, and not through Carnival. It's not necessarily about health, but stuff just happens. A $200 insurance policy has saved us thousands on a last minute medical emergency. We got all our money back.
