I did one with Princess- zodiac snorkel in October. It was amazing, but you need to be prepared for jellyfish if you are going at that time of year. Buy repellant.

Sorry I cant offer advice on HAL excursion, but they go to the same areas (Santa Maria Bay, and the bay near that). It would not deter me from doing it again, but we were stung along with everyone on our boat.
