steveg Posted May 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2004 For anyone just off or still on the first or second Millennium Med cruise of the season, I would like to know how many formal, informal and casual nights were scheduled. There seems to be mixed messages regarding same, with some indications that there are three formals and others that say two. The same with the informal, with Celebrity saying three if you call, but other indications of two. We're sailing the end of June and would like to know what people have experienced on this season's cruises so that we can pack appropriately. Thanks. Bruin Steve Posted May 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2004 Don't know if its changed THIS season (we were on in August and it was 3 and 3...just as it stated in the back of the Celebrity Europe brochure... I cannot picture they would have changed that... "2 and 2" is the formal/informal on a 7-night cruise...that's what we have coming up on the Summit... Amy G Posted May 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2004 I was just reading Celebrity's site, and it said 6-3-3. 6 casual, 3 semi formal (informal) and 3 formal nights. Hope that helps.
mikemary945 Posted May 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2004 Is this for the Med? If so, their 2004 brochure says 3 formal, 3 informal and 6 casual. steveg Posted May 26, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 26, 2004 Thanks for the inputs, folks. I know what the brochure says and when you call Celebrity they will say the same. We have been on too many cruises in the past (e.g., Princess), however, where what has been specified in the brochure is not in fact what happens on board and therefore we've had too many formal or semi-formal clothing with us. Rather than having to take clothing along that will not be needed and weighing down our suitcases unnecessarily, I'm looking for the input from those who have been on this itineray on the Millennium this year to see if there has been any deviation from what Celebrity says. cruisintwinsmom Posted May 26, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2004 Maybe you could post on the Europe board and see if you can get a response from someone who has just returned. Having sailed on only 2 X sailings, a 7 night and an 11 night, both had the indicated number of formal and informal nights stated.
SASSYSC Posted May 27, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 27, 2004 Hi, Just returned from the med on Millie last week and there are 3 formal nights and 3 informal nights and the rest casual. The formal nights were when we were in Livorno and then the 2 sea days. Sassy
