mikepaul Posted July 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2015 How difficult is it? I've done a couple of drift snorkels i'm 65 yrs. old not in good shape but never had any problems. Yet this one claims to be extra difficult. Even though drift snorkels are current driven and have a boat nearby they claim you must be in very good shape. Is there something about this one that makes for tough going? The current carries you anyway. I'd love to hear some feedback.
twin123185 Posted July 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Consider the Rangiroa aquarium. Easy, close to the dock and simply amazing. Very easy to do.

twin123185 Posted July 26, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2015 I assume you are talking about Rangiroa despite the spelling error? Sorry I thought I was clear enough. My bad. The drift can be strenuous. Many years ago it was easier for me but the last time for me it was a bit of a struggle. My problem was that I went faster than the boat it was hard to slow down. My point was that if you are afraid of fast currents, the aquarium is simply an awesome experience with zero exertion.
