Cabin Availability on Website

Is there a trick to see more than a handful of cabins at a time on the website. The cruise is over a year away. I would think that more than 5-10 cabins per deck is available this far in advance.

they only show about 10 per cabin type you have to call and see if the one you want is there

No trick. They only show select ones. You can contact a PVP. They are able to see all available cabins. :)

I don't have a PVP. Question though, if Carnival books it for you, can you access it online and submit price drops online, or would you need to always go through the PVP?

Nope. But that doesn't mean the specific one you want isn't available. Just call the 1-800 number or your pvp. They can look and see specifically if a certain cabin is open or not and can book you in it.

OP as long as you use a PVP and not a TA you have access to your booking online.

We book Early Saver with our PVP and submit our own 'Price Protection' form. Just did one yesterday for a Nov Valor cruise and got an approval in less than 5 minutes.

 

In the past, if I don't hear from the Price Protection folks, I'll call our PVP and she can make it happen.

I swear by my PVP. She just helped us book our 2nd 6k Oceanview in a row!

Our PVP has always been able to get the cabin we want as long as it is available even though it did not show available online.
