Mr G RAY Posted August 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Funny you should ask......I just started watching web cams a few days ago. Just kind of check in here and there if there is any action. Nassau is pretty active
bob brown Posted August 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2015 I enjoy many 'virtual' sailaways by watching both the ship's webcam, along with some port web cams.... New York has a couple of outstanding PTZ live, streaming web cams where you can follow sailaways from the Manhattan cruise ship terminal all the way to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, by switching when halfway in-between. They also pan and follow most sailaways as well as zoom in for closeups of waving passengers. They also follow sailaways from Brooklyn and Cape Liberty. Since the two NCL ships homeported in NY have webcams, by scrolling between them and the port cams, the sailaways are great. Oh, and they also play a marine radio scanner on the Harbor cam, so you can hear the radio chatter of the ship's pilot with Vessel Traffic Control and other vessel's... http://www.nyharborwebcam.com/ http://www.portnywebcam.com/ http://167.118.191.8/shipcams/bawaycam/fullsize.jpg http://167.118.191.8/shipcams/gemcam/fullsize.jpg?browser_popup=320x240 Other ships homeported in NY include the QM2 and the Carnival Splendor with webcams. Princess will be here in the fall with webcams. And a few others in the fall. Unfortunately, Celebrity no longer has webcams, and RCI ships in NY don't either...... flamomo Posted August 4, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2015 I check the Port Everglades Webcam every day, and from there can check a number of other port webcams. It's a great site. I especially like it when it's Fleet Week in FLL, as they provide great coverage. Also every day. I check the Princess bridge cam composite to see where all of Princess' ships are, being that I am an avid Princess cruiser.

Sail away from Fort Lauderdale (our preferred port). Check ship cams. Even watch freight ships come and go and of course all of the other port activity. Flying to England to sail back to Port Everglades in Sept. Tell the world to go to h**l for 15 days of bliss.
