Any positive reviews of Bottomless Bubbles?

My buddy gets the package he asks them for an unopened can and a cup of ice. He fills his own tumbler with both.

Anyone else able to just ask for a cup of ice and the can? I would prefer to pour it myself or even keep the can in the mini fridge for later on. I could just keep getting full cans and then chill them myself!

So if I bring my own can drinks, how many can I bring and where would/could we get ice to fill a container. Is that allowed? Bringing our own drinking container?

Each person may bring on 12 cans or boxes (juice-milk) of 12 oz or less on embarkation day. Your room steward will keep your in room ice bucket full if you ask them. We bring our own Tervis tumblers in our luggage. Some people bring those giant Bubba Keg Mugs even...LOL

What drinks (nonalcoholic) are available free?

Coffee, Tea, Lemonade, Milk, Juice-at Breakfast, Tap Water.

I have gotten it every time since it was offered and will continue to do so. I have my Tervis cup filled with Diet Coke at all times. Yes, the ones out on the Lido deck are warm of course. However, there are enough places inside to get a cold can if it bothers you. I drink mine pretty quickly so I haven't noticed it flat or even that watered down. I get a full can of cool-ish soda over ice, drink it, get a little juice, go inside and get another cooler can over ice, etc. Never had a problem finding a drink but I like to be on the move constantly so I frequent all the spots and haven't really had the chance to sit and wait for a waiter.

Ok, I'm from the south. Is the tea good southern sweet tea? The Bubba Mug is right up my alley [emoji6]

No. It's not sweet tea. It's tea from concentrate. Some people add sugar or honey to it from Lido. Some people mix it with the lemonade.

There is also hot tea at the afternoon tea time everyday, which is free.

The tea is not the greatest....I make my own. Hot water from the coffee machine. Pick a few tea bags to your liking, your own personal mug, steep the tea for a while then once it's good and dark take some ice water and add it to the hot water/tea mixture. If you want sweet tea, add sugar before you add cold water and ice. I'm telling you, it's way better than the tea they serve.

There is nothing wrong with their soda. It just comes out of cans that are warm so they pour it on ice and it gets watered down immediately which is where the flat comments probably come from. The ice cools it down but it isn't really cold and if you wait long enough for it to get really cold then it is even more watered down/flat. It didn't bother me that much but bringing on a 12 pack worked better for me because I put them in the fridge and combined with ice they were much colder. When I walked around the ship I drank water or ordered a coke just once in a while or, better yet, had alcohol.

Grew up in Texas and only drink fresh brewed tea (Lipton is my gold standard). I bring my insulated "Bubba" cup, use three Lipton or Bigelow English Teatime, if CCL has not stopped offering it since I last sailed in Q1 2015, to make fresh brewed tea in a CCL coffee cup. Next I fill my Bubba cup with ice. Wait for tea to steep and cool a bit, then over the ice the brew goes. Cap the cup with its lid and use a straw.

Add sugar to the brew while it is steeping so the sugar an melt.

But what's the point? They would open another hot can and pour it over ice which would melt and cause it to be flat and watered down. It's the same every time - or at least that's been my experience on multiple cruises.

Thanks for the information! We are not big soda drinkers so we have never bought the bottomless bubbles package, however, we have some friends going on our cruise in a couple weeks that want to buy the package.

My husband is a big soda drinker, and he always gets bottomless bubbles. No problem ever getting his soda, it's always cold never flat. However, you do not get a can of soda, they give you a glass with ice. Even by the pool, very easy to get his refills when the servers come by.l

Unfortunately service is not always so good. I've been on 19 Carnival Cruises and I have purchased the soda package on almost every one of those. I have learned some rules that I now always follow:

#1) Never order a soda in the showrooms but instead go to the bar and get a coke before you go into the show! If you order before the show in one of the showrooms you will not receive it at all or at least not until the very end of the show and it will arrive flat.

#2) if you are in the casino playing ask one of the casino managers to request your soda for you. If you request it yourself you will never receive it. If the casino manager believes that you will leave the craps table and take your money with you in order to go get your soda they will make sure you get your soda.

Unlike some of you you say you did not have any trouble getting service or with receiving flat drinks I've had this happen many times but I still purchase the package because I don't want to carry a bunch of cans with me on a plane or stop at a store on my way to the port in the taxi. But I always tell the bartender or waiter that they need to bring me a Diet Coke poured from a fresh can and if it arrives flat I make them take it back. If you do that once or twice pretty soon they make sure that it comes out with bubbles everytime because they don't want to serve you twice. On one cruise the service was so poor that I filed a complaint about it. Unfortunately nothing was ever done about my complaint. I personally think they should not add the gratuity to the soda package but instead should allow you to tip as you go and have those tips contingent upon actually receiving service. If I have to go to the bar myself in order to get a coke the package is not such a good deal.

Yes and wait another 30 to 40 minutes for them to bring it! That's crap!

Sounds like Carnival needs to take a lesson from Princess on this one. We had the comparable option on Princess (Unlimited Soda program $5.18/day). We never had soda from a can. It always came from a dispenser onto ice, just like a fountain soda. The only time we had a can was in the dining room and they gave us a cold, un-open can for each card-holder. They also have the Unlimited Soda and More Package $8.05/day which includes mocktails...

We were considering buying the soda program for my son, but we just might stop at the store and buy a couple half racks of Coke and Mountain dew instead! With FFTF, it shouldn't be too much trouble.

We love fountain soda and the Liberty and Sunshine had it at the Red Frog rum bar and the Blue Iguana Cantina. Never flat!

I drink diet coke which is crappy from a fountain. The fountain version is sweetened with saccharine rather than NutraSweet. I definitely wouldn't purchase any soda that came from a fountain.

We have taken at least 14 cruises with Carnival and have honestly never had a problem with flat soda or warm soda; but then again, my husband usually orders from any of the bars, by the pool or in the MDR. He may have ordered in Punchliners a few times but never complained. If we did have issues, I would have no compunction with asking for a new soda whether it was warm or flat, but we have never had to. We are pleased with the soda card and since he drinks 5 to 7 sodas per day, on a 7 or 8 day cruise, it's worth it for us.
