Horseback riding in the afternoon *Heat question

I was wondering if anyone has done the horseback and swim excursion in Jamaica in the afternoon?

 

They have two trips going out . One at 9:30a and the other at 1:00pm

 

Our ship ports at 10:30am - (9:30a local time) but that doesn't give us enough time to make it to the meet up spot.

 

Just wondering with this being the caribbean and all, will it be unbearably hot to be riding horses at 1pm?....We probably will ride a while before hitting the water and they recommend long pants (in AUGUST :eek: )

 

Just curious if anyone has experience this tour in the afternoon and how did you like it? Thanks
