Hi all,

Cruise in a few months and wanted to video chat with my girlfriend at home, going to the med and was wondering what everyone thought of the connection and if anyone has actually been able to video chat before. I know internet is expensive, but I'm willing to try it if I can see and talk to my girlfriend for even just a few minutes.

Thanks and kind regards.

Hi there.

You've not mentioned which ship your on.

If your on a newer Royal Caribbean ship, with the upgraded Internet you won't have a problem. Any other then think back to 1990s dialup speeds.

The good news is a med cruise should be port intensive and there's plenty of free wifi ashore.

Enjoy.

You said you will be in the Mediterranean. Is there anywhere you might be able to go for wifi off of the ship, such as a coffee house? It may not be free, may have to purchase a drink or something to gain access to it, but it's likely faster than what the ship has to offer if they don't have upgraded internet.
