Uxmal shops and restaurant

My wife and I are taking the Uxmal excursion and we have seen pictures of the ruins and look forward to it, We have heard a lot of good things about the restaurant there and would like to see some pictures of it, and the shops or venders around there just to get ourselves more excited. Anyone have any pic’s to share?

are you doing the Uxmal and Hacienda tour? or just Uxmal? At Uxmal, there is a little square with restrooms, and about 8 small shops, there are women working a truck type kiosk out side of the gate (they sell beautiful embroidered shirts) I don't really remember seeing a restaurant, but believe there was one across the parking lot from the shops-up a slight incline (hill). Uxmal is beautiful!

 

We did the Uxmal and Hacienda (includes snacks they said) but it was a meal. This was served on a large porch that looked out over the water gardens in the front, and a garden in the back. The property was very pretty, and well worth the visit. Have a great time!

Since we winter in the the Yucatan, we have never done a tour to Uxmal. Since it is such a great place, usually visit every year or so. We were last there in January, 2015. The Google street view is what we saw. The vendors are outside the visitor center to the left of the entrance. There is also a small snack bar which sells drinks and some snacks. There is a sit down restaurant inside the visitor center. We have always enjoyed eating there. This year we had lunch at the buffet in the hotel across the street. It was not great food, but it offered a wide variety, and let our guests choose different foods.
