Casino Premier Cruise

I have been on both ends of Premier Casino Cruises.

As a non PCC participant I noticed the casino was a little more crowded.

Other than a busy casino and the announcement for the nightly events I doubt you will notice any difference.

My other half always gets casino deals even for free cruises only that we usually can't take the free cruises its for a particular sailing/ship and most of the time its around another trip that we already booked up.

We took our first premier cruise this past May on the Valor.

Positives: We received nightly goodies such as cheeses, wine, chocolate covered strawberries, box of large very good cookies, etc. We also received a bottle of wine on a few nights for dinner. I am not considered a "good player" by carnival...hahaha but I was also given the drinks on us card, we both have them, only problem its only for inside the casino so we purchased the Cheers program anyways, I never went over the 15 drink max to use the drinks on us card (I did average 12/13 drinks each day and its not a lot because if you think being up at 9am and staying up past 2am thats 17 hours total being up no way was I ever tipsy ever). We also received nice beach towels in our room to take home as a gift along with some Carnival hot/cold tumblers and lanyards. On a premier cruise you also will receive cash back at the casino, my other half received $900 and I received $50.

The events and winning other prizes and money, we were in the casino most of the time each day and night and never won a thing although the casino manager did give us free nights at the steakhouse.

Negatives: The ship is crowded with more casino players, its more difficult to get slots and seats at the tables. We also found the table minimum play amounts to be higher than on regular casino and regular cruises and the slots were tighter.

As a result of the negatives we NEVER would do another premier cruise again. We remain to get goodies in our cabin from the casino but not as many as the premier cruises. We are booked up on a regular cruise next may, my other half still is receiving $175 in casino cash but we rather have the table stakes lower, less people and not as tight slots. Now, he still can be offered a free cruise if he reaches a certain amount of points, you have to use it within three months time but you can choose any ship and any duration, which is nice, again, we plan our trips a year ahead, so he probably will get another free cruise and most likely won't be using the freebie, but I think one day we get the chance.
