Neelix Posted August 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2015 Has anyone had a decent soufflé on Royal Caribbean? We've just got off Explorer and all 3 of the soufflés we ordered in the MDR were really poor. Like the soufflés we were deflated !!
leisuretraveler223 Posted August 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2015 Yeah, I'm not holding out hope that those kitchens are going to produce a quality product like you're seeking. The overall food quality keeps dropping, and you're hoping for a never before achieved high water mark.
LilBlackDress Posted August 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2015 My DH and DS had the soufflé on Adventure earlier this year and both said it was good, not great, but they hadn't deflated from what I saw... We had the late seating and by the time we ordered dessert there were only a handful of tables still being served.
Janet524 Posted August 26, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 26, 2015 The souffles we've had have been just okay. But in all fairness people, they are preparing a thousand of these babies at a once. And as anyone who has made a souffle knows timing is everything. As Julia Child once said, "The guests wait for the souffle, the souffle does not wait for the guests!" Thoie Posted August 26, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2015 I can't get a soufflé to stay up between my kitchen and dining table (approx 2 feet). I think you'd need scaffolding (or luck) to get it to stay all the way to your table in the MDR :)
AtlantaAlly Posted August 27, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2015 I had the grand marnier souffle on Adventure. It was still plenty high when it came to the table but I didn't so much care for the flavor. I wish they did chocolate!
