Carnival Dream Spa Pass

I leave in a couple weeks for my last relaxing trip before the holiday season (I work in retail and it is a busy, super stressful time). So I have decided that instead of plunking wads of cash into the casino this trip, I would spend my money on the Cloud 9 Thermal Spa pass (week-long). I've never done this, but I have done a lot of dreaming and scheming over you-tube videos and pics and know I will love it! Can anyone give me any hints as to

 

a) how soon to get there to buy the pass and

 

b) the perfect "zen" order to use the different rooms.

 

And any current pricing would also be helpful!

I think the price is 189 - I might be off or high. U can get a tour of the spa . It helped me a lot. And you can buy the pass and use it right away. Every one is different in the way they use the rooms- I used the t-pool then heated loungers. Some like heated loungers then steam rooms. There are 2 types of heated loungers - warm almost hot and boiling hot room. The boiling hot room has a sprayer raptors cool you off. And 2 types of steam rooms - one that has aroma therapy and the other no smell but even hotter. Then you can cool off in a giant shower and drink water with lemon or lime in another room. As you can tell I was there 2 times a day . Loved it. If you enjoy it next time get a spa room it's less expensive and you have a private elevator to spa

Thanks! I thought there might be some recommended "ideal" order to get the max benefit from the different rooms. It seems it is just enjoy whatever you like. I think I will like them all...I may spend my whole cruise there.

Here is a link to some of the pictures (back end of that thread) ... and we did a tour right when we got on the ship. We had a spa room so it was included.

 

When we went to the SPA we had our swimsuits under our robes for the thalassotherapy Pool. One day we went to the different rooms and just had our robes on and then we each took showers in the locker rooms.. the showers are heavenly.. So for most of the treatment rooms a robe would be just fine. Love the relaxation room. We would go in here after our showers and relax with the fruit infused water.. I MISS THIS.....

I highly recommend purchasing this! :D We enjoyed it so much, we will even forgo spending money on excursions just to buy the spa package. I don't remember exactly what time we purchased them but it was almost as soon as we boarded. From what we where told, they only sell a limited amount of these packages to the guest that are not already in a Spa Cabin / suite.

It depends on if there where people already in the heated steam rooms or the huge hot tub. My wife and I would wear a towel wrapped around us into the steam rooms. If we where the only ones there, we would drop the towels but keep them handy in case anyone walked in. (It's adults only in this spa area and MOST adults can handle a split sec peek while you wrap back up in your towel.) There was a couple of times when we entered the real hot steam room and there where a few men in there with their towels "unwrapped", so we took that as a hint that they wouldn't be offended if we did the same.

 

When it came to the huge hot tub, we did the same, we would wear our shorts / bathing suits as we entered the water. Once again, if we where the only ones in there, the shorts / swim suits came off. There are so many bubbles, even if a few others came in, there was NO WAY they could tell you didn't have your suit on. Of course we would put on our shorts / suits while in the water before we got out. Only then, if someone was looking, could they see my wife tying her bathing suit top around her neck. But even then NOTHING is or was exposed, they just knew the top was off while everything was under water. No big deal. Of course, it there was a lot of people in the water, we just kept the suits on the whole time. In other words, use discretion.

 

One thing we really liked about the spa area is it never felt crowded. Most of the times we had whatever room we where in to ourselves. The hot tub, never more then a few people in at a time. The whole experience was very relaxing and enjoyable.

I'm in! I think, more than ever, that I will be better off spending $150 here. I do like to gamble and find pulling that one armed bandit relaxing, but at times $150 can go away in mere minutes at a slot machine. A whole weeks worth of relaxation at my disposal sounds wonderful!

We got one last time. They sell out fast so it was our second stop after grabbing a quick lunch on lido.

 

We honestly would not do it again. The thermal pool was the best part of the whole thing. Very relaxing, but still I didnt feel like it was still worth the cash. We cruise again in April and we wont be getting it.

I don't recommend the dream spa - the thalloso pool had broken jets and cooling showers so we could barely stay on the pool's shelf. Also, we planned on utilizing the spa at night but it closed at 10. It was also a very common occurrence to find people snoring loudly in a few of the rooms which wasn't very relaxing. There were a few rooms we tried to go into but they were just too hot and we never saw any of them. Basically, all we enjoyed was 2 rooms for an hour or so. Not worth the price.

I was thinking you might have gone when I did in May. I did catch myself snoring in the thermal suite. It is soooo relaxing. I thoroughly LOVE the spa. This will be my third time on the Dream and got a spa cabin each time. It's worth every penny to me. And this time I;m bringing friends and they bought it too. Ahhhhhhhh.

I don't think I would book a Carnival again without a Cloud 9 spa. We fell in love with our Cloud 9 spa cabin on the Dream and booked one for this NYE on the Magic.

 

It is well worth the money. Personally, I would book a Cloud 9 balcony for the proximity rather than book something else and buy the spa pass.
