Found you only a few days ago and I am enthralled,cant stop looking.We are off on the QE2 27th Oct,after a dissapointing summer few days on her.We love our adventures and look forward to seeing old friends on our favourite liner.Will post again with thoughts of the Alexandria trip!:)

Hope you enjoy the cruise next month, l did a similier one last year and doing 18 night med cruise next year, also did the Egypt tour, it made for a long day, 3 hours there and 3 back, were supplied with free soft drinks and they gave us a postcard which they posted for us!!! watch yourself in the "shop" there are no price tags on anything and lm the guide had a deal with them !!! the lunch at the Meni house was very good, but one of our coach load wanted to know why there were small showers beside the toilet.

 

Interestingly last year Cunard had a overnight tour to the pryamids for $500 and it was sold out with 500 people taking it, our day trip of over a 1000 paxs left on a convoy of coaches and we never stopped at all during the ride there.The tour never felt rushed but you were kept going, you must do a camel ride up at the pryamids!!! l gave them $20 for my little run and for the photos they took, the camel was well behaved, and they do ask for money for the camel as well, and extra $1 or so, if only these guys sold double glazing!!! they would be millionaires.....

If l might give some advice do be very wary in Alexandria, do ensure you take an official taxi from beside the ship and from no where else, the sellers beside the ship l found were very good and reasonably priced and well behaved!!! aside from that, when you arrive back at the docks, the QE2 is believe you me a very welcome site indeed, with tables laid out dispensing water,juice tea/coffee

But regardless, you will have a great time onboard QE2
