Thanksgiving cruising questions

Sailing from Port Everglades Nov 24 - Dec 4 on Silver Spirit and have a few questions...

Is anything special done for Thanksgiving?

When are any Christmas decorations usually put up?

What's the TV coverage, if any, for American football on Silversea?

They usually have Turkey on Thanksgiving,as far as football ,espn is international so all you get is soccer for the most part.... Go Pats...

We did a similar voyage 3-years ago (on the Whisper). There wasn't anything I would deem as special for Thanksgiving. Yes, they offered traditional Thanksgiving items on the restaurant menu, but everything was coursed the same as any other meal.

Christmas decorations were not put up during our voyage. Hotel Director told us they tend to wait to decorate for the cruises that leave shortly before Christmas.

Lastly, there are no channels that carried American football during our voyage.

Decorations go up on embarkation day of the holiday cruise.

This would explain why we've seen the final touches going up on our cruises departing between 17-21 December, both were holiday cruises.

The decorations are tasteful, for anyone who likes OTT decorations they may be disappointed!

There is a door decorating contest for guests as well as crew. You can get as tacky as you'd like!

Yes, some of the doors were very pretty and festive and others were....less so!

I remember there was some drama our last time on Spirit that involved someone's door decoration being "stolen". Apparently it turned out to be another guest playing a prank but it didn't go over too well.
