cmxdamo Posted September 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2015 Hi we are going on the ncl breakaway shortly. We are from Dublin Ireland & our credit card is in euro, when we go to pay our cruise account at the end of our holiday should we pay in our currency or in dollars ? Thanks
paul929207 Posted September 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2015 Have the on board account put thru in the ship's currency. Then your credit card will do the conversion. Cruise lines offer very poor exchange rates.

Baz23 Posted September 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2015 You should find out OP prior to your trip what currency the ship operates in. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but the bank will charge you a small % every time you make a transaction?
Ferry Beach Kayaker Posted November 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Some credit cards charge a 1-3percent foreign transaction fee and some charges none. I make sure I Use the card without a foreign transaction fee and for me it is Capital One. Call your bank and ask do they charge a foreign transaction fee ( if so every time you use the card the 1-3 percent will be added on)..
