New Internet Plans-Questions

We're going on Magic in a week, and I have a couple of questions regarding the new internet plans they have available.

 

1. Has anyone had the premium plans on the Cozumel - Belize - Roatan itinerary that can say how the speeds generally are during that voyage?

 

2. Approximate cost for a 7 day trip for the different plans?

 

3. The info on Carnival's page says this regarding VPNs:

VPN connections are not supported - discuss your VPN limitations with your company’s IT department if you are planning to work while sailing. We are not able to change your settings onboard.

 

Has anyone used the new plans to connect to a computer at home, either through some sort of VPN or another method? I'm a database administrator, and I may have to go in and run a script or two on a server at work if something goes wrong while I'm out. It would be 100 times easier to just log in and do it myself, than email instructions to my new boss who hasn't had time to come up to speed on our systems. I'm not anticipating having to do it, but, 'expect the unexpected'.

 

Hopefully someone has some experience they can share.
