jennymaxgirl Posted September 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2015 We are traveling with our two little ones and will have a beach blanket with us for the port days. I see Carambolas has lovely loungers, but would it be frowned upon or breaking any rules for us to use our beach blanket instead of renting a lounger? Thanks
paul58 Posted September 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2015 All beaches on St Kitts are free and open to the public. There is no reason why you would be prevented from bringing and using your blanket.
Carol999 Posted October 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Maybe you could email them and ask. It is a restaurant and they seem to make their money with that and their loungers. You might look out of place if you set up shop in front of someone who has paid to have the beach view from their lounger (they are all in a long row).Maybe just rent one lounger and put the kids in front of your space. Skai Posted October 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2015 It's a public beach. I would suggest not being concerned with "looking out of place" or being "frowned upon" for "setting up shop in front" and potentially disturbing the view of someone that has "paid for a lounger". A rented lounger is just that and only that... Of course, the consideration of others' immediate surrounding space is respectful, you will be just fine in bringing your own beach blanket and putting it wherever you choose from the available area on the beach. caribsun Posted October 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Yes it's a public beach but Carmabola is private property. I would look for a public entrance to use the public beach.
blueberry Posted November 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2015 When we were going there all of the loungers etc were gone by 10:00am. Others just sat on towels with no issue. There is a long beach, Carambola is at one end, shipwreck the other with lots of open sand in between if you want a little extra space. If you have little ones I would be most concerned with shade. Except for umbrellas there is none on the beach near Carmabola. Get/ bring a simple pop up sun space and you can go anywhere.
