ortrud Posted September 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2015 We are staying at the BW Adams Inn in Quincey and need tranportation to Black Eagle Pier. Last year the Hotel had a free Shuttle, this year the want $80.00 more for the room to take it. That's a bit much. We are two couples. Can anyone suggest what we should do? How much would taxis be? Blue Mudshark Posted September 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2015 From the Adams Inn to the Black Falcon Terminal, I would estimate at least $30-$35 for cab fare. The meteed fare is based on time, and Boston traffic is notoriously unpredictable, so it depends greatly on the day, time of day, and whatever random forces are affecting traffic at the time. Taxi fares are higher in slow traffic. A much cheaper option might be a taxi from the Adams Inn to North Quincy Station, and take the Red Line to the Silver Line to the port; but that would involve dragging luggage around, including at South Station where you transfer from the Red Line subway to the Silver Line bus.
