Review of Infinity Sept 4 - Sept 13 Highs and Lows

So we spent our first night in San Francisco. It was lovely, we had lunch at Aquaspa Cafe and diner in the MDR. Very nice. Select Dining was good. A very nice table for two. Oh, the cabin was great, more of that later.

 

Highs of day one? Little upselling beverage package...

 

Lows of day one? Tables of two are literally 4 inches from each other....

We woke up to The Navigator porting into two berths down. Was quite a site. We spent our day going to COIT tower (walking up steps)...Wow, talk about out of breath. Sail away party was fun. Nice to meet many from Roll Call.

 

Pros: Meeting many at sail away and watch USCG escort us out.

 

Cons: Earlier onboard and muster call. Very strange.

Oh, I forgot to mention another odd thing about day two / sailing day. Since we had spent our first night sitting in San Francisco bay, we actually sailed on the second evening. For whatever reason, Celebrity decided the first formal night would be that night as well. Many people that had early dining were a little disappointed that they had to cut their sail away party short so they could get back to their cabins to get in formal wear. Many thought it would have made more sense to have the first formal night on the first sea day. Luckily we were in select dining so we ate much later after going under the Golden Gate.
